Leah did the picture above a couple of years ago. She was five. If you look closely the sign says ‘fruit shop leah made this’. We were sitting in a tent set up in the garden. We had crayons and notebooks and sat in there for hours. It was summer. I was very impressed with this picture so I kept it!
Well, as seems to be the way of things round these parts, Jeanette, Ian and Leah are moving out of their house without having one to move into. It’s just the way we do things here in Coventry. They’re moving in with Ian’s parents. Because it’s quite far from Leah’s school, Jeanette and Leah will be spending two or three nights a week at ours. The sofa bed is made up in the craft room. Leah’s already sorted her side of the bed with a few things she found about the house: a couple of cuddly things, a piglet cushion and a shiny lilac nightdress case.
I emptied a big box for her so she can bring some of her own stuff. But she filled that up too. With things from about the house. Books. Fake flowers. Talking Scooby Doo pen. Notebooks. More cuddly things. She’s the only person who gets away with going through all my belongings on a regular basis. I love her a lot.
She wrote on the top. I know it says keep out but one little photo won’t hurt. Surely?
